American rock band Linkin Park, formed in 1996 in Agoura Hills, California, started out under the name Xero. Blending rock, hip-hop and electronic sounds, the group has sold more than 100 million records worldwide, making them one of the best-selling music acts of the 21st century. Built around co-vocalist Mike Shinoda, the band's defining era was shaped by Chester Bennington, whose voice carried their biggest anthems before his death on July 20, 2017. After a hiatus that ended with a reunion livestream on September 5, 2024, Linkin Park returned with new co-vocalist Emily Armstrong, launching the From Zero era.
