SPORTFREUNDE STILLER CANCEL THREE ANNIVERSARY TOUR SHOWS AS SINGER PETER BRUGGER LOSES HIS VOICE — MAKE-UP DATES SET FOR SPRING 2027

Sportfreunde Stiller have cancelled three consecutive shows on their 30th-anniversary "30 wunderbare Jahre" tour after singer Peter Brugger lost his voice. The German rock band called off the Oberhausen, Aurich and Bremen dates in quick succession, before announcing new dates for spring 2027.

Reports say the cancellations were a major blow to fans who had been looking forward to the anniversary run, with two of the three shows sold out. The band has now set out make-up dates for all three cities, while existing tickets will remain valid.

The Three Cancelled Shows

The three cancelled shows were:

  • Thursday, October 22, 2026 - Turbinenhalle, Oberhausen, called off only hours before showtime
  • Friday, October 23, 2026 - Sparkassen-Arena, Aurich
  • Saturday, October 24, 2026 - Pier 2, Bremen

The Oberhausen and Bremen shows were sold out, and Brockhoff was announced as support.

Why the Decision Came So Late

The band's first statement on October 22 cited an illness without naming who was ill. A follow-up Instagram post then named Brugger's voice as the reason for the cancellations. Brugger is 53.

According to the band, they tried everything to play anyway and only decided during the afternoon of October 22 that Brugger's voice would not hold up. They called it a lose-lose situation and apologised to fans facing non-refundable travel and hotel costs.

The band line-up is Peter Brugger (singer and guitarist), Rüdiger Linhof (bass), Florian Weber (drums) and Mario Radetzky (guitar).

The Make-Up Dates

Make-up dates announced via the band's Instagram post are:

  • Aurich - March 12, 2027 (Sparkassen Arena)
  • Bremen - March 13, 2027 (Pier 2)
  • Oberhausen - April 15, 2027 (Turbinenhalle)

Existing tickets stay valid or can be refunded.

The tour is planned to resume in Magdeburg on Monday, October 26, 2026, although the status of upcoming dates was not confirmed at last report.
