ERIC CLAPTON ANNOUNCES FIVE 2027 UK CONCERTS — ROYAL ALBERT HALL RESIDENCY, DATES & TICKETS

At 81, Eric Clapton has announced five UK concerts for May 2027 — four nights at London's Royal Albert Hall plus a Birmingham date — his first UK run of 2027.

The news broke via Clapton's Instagram around October 13, 2026, with tickets going on general sale on October 16. Here are the dates, venues and everything else you need to know.

The Announced Dates

Birmingham: May 17, 2027 — bp pulse LIVE.

Royal Albert Hall, London: May 20, 21, 23 and 24, 2027.

One note on the dates: Far Out magazine lists the Royal Albert Hall nights as May 21, 22, 23 and 24 — a one-day discrepancy on the opening night that is worth flagging until official listings confirm.

Tickets go on general sale on October 16, following a fan-club presale on October 15. The run was announced via Clapton's Instagram around October 13, 2026.

Clapton joins a growing slate of 2027 tour announcements, including Slash's Flying Blind album and 2027 tour.

Why It Matters

The Royal Albert Hall is Clapton's "spiritual home" — he has played more than 200 solo performances there, more than any other artist in the venue's history. These five concerts are his first UK shows of 2027.

The announcement also comes just weeks after Clapton missed Buddy Guy's 90th-birthday show at Radio City Music Hall on October 1 due to illness, according to reports — making this UK run a welcome sign for fans.
