What We Know So Far

The campaign began with a countdown website, followed by the official EP, release date, lead single and cover art announcement on August 24, 2026 — teased on billboards in Bangkok, New York City, Los Angeles and Mexico City.

The project finds LISA at her most personal, tracing her journey from Thailand to the global stage with Thai elements woven through the music. Appearing on Fallon, she described each song as having its own unique character — "like a movie… so you just press play."

PRESS PLAY follows her 2025 debut album Alter Ego, which debuted at No. 7 on the Billboard 200.

Lead single "SaWaDiKa" arrived on September 3, 2026, written by LISA, Thom Bridges, Mark Williams, Raul Cubina, Rachel West and Danny Chung, and produced by Thom Bridges and Ojivolta. The music video was directed by Bang Jae Yeob and filmed in Bangkok.

The buzz has been enormous: "SaWaDiKa" pulled in 70.8 million YouTube views in its first 24 hours — the biggest music-video debut of 2026 — and crossed 200 million views on October 8, 2026, roughly 34 days later, becoming the first 2026 K-pop music video to reach the milestone. The single also debuted at No. 69 on the Billboard Hot 100 — her highest-charting solo single and her seventh Hot 100 entry, tying Jennie for the most entries among female K-pop soloists. Beyond the music, LISA's Always Lalisa documentary (Sony Music Vision) premiered at TIFF and arrives in cinemas worldwide on October 12, 2026. She will also launch the VIVA LA LISA residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace on November 12–14 and 27–29, 2026 — making her the first K-pop artist with a Las Vegas residency.
