CARNAVAL DE LUZ ALBUM - U2 | TRACKLIST, RELEASE DATE & DETAILS

Carnaval de Luz is the upcoming 16th studio album by Irish rock legends U2, and their first collection of new material in nine years since 2017's Songs of Experience. The record arrives on November 13, 2026 via Island Records, and was announced on September 23, 2026, during the band's 50th anniversary week.

The Spanish title translates to "Carnival of Light," and the album pairs U2's classic widescreen sound with a fresh wave of collaborators. Longtime partner Jacknife Lee produced the record, while Ryan Tedder added additional production to the lead single "Silencio." Brian Eno co-wrote and played synths on three tracks, and the sessions also brought in Martin Garrix and Daniel Lanois, the latter adding pedal steel to the closing track. "Silencio" was released on September 24, 2026, with an official video filmed in Mexico City and directed by Cliqua. A second early taste, "Street of Dreams," arrived as a single in July 2026 and also appears on the album. The grand finale, "Torn," is a duet with country legend Dolly Parton.
