Killeagh was written in about 20 minutes as a favour for Killeagh GAA, the hurling club in the East Cork village, after Fitzgibbon — a former club player — was asked for a club song.
The single was released on 28 March 2025, and it comes from the band's debut album "Halcyon", released on 22 August 2025 on B-Unique/Atlantic. On the Irish Singles Chart, it first reached No. 1 in May 2025. Coverage in 2026 reports a combined 17 weeks at No. 1, including the Christmas No. 1. To state the week-count variance honestly: Wikipedia records the initial May 2025 run at 2 weeks, and IMRO records five weeks at No. 1 during a 21-week Top 10 run, so the 17-week figure is the combined total across returns to No. 1, not one continuous run. IRMA named "Killeagh" Ireland's most-streamed song of 2025 (via RELEVANT).
The official acoustic video was released in April 2025, and a Cullenstown Handball Alley performance video also exists on the band's channel. "Halcyon" debuted at No. 1 on the Irish Albums Chart and No. 7 on the UK Albums Chart. The band's second Irish No. 1 single, The Sun Will Never Settle lyrics by Kingfishr, followed in 2026. As a fresh hook, the band's second album, "Weight of the Feather", was announced on 4 November 2026 and is due out on 9 April 2027 on B-Unique/Atlantic.
