HYUKOH BIOGRAPHY - MEMBERS, CAREER, SONGS & FACTS

HYUKOH is a South Korean indie rock band formed in Seoul in 2014. Built around a warm, guitar-led sound and Oh Hyuk's distinctive vocals, the four-piece became cult favourites at home and abroad, winning listeners who came for the melodies and stayed for the mood.

2026 brings the band back in a big way. Their third full-length album, 33, is out on November 25, 2026 — their first full album in six years, and a release that has their longtime fans talking again.

HYUKOH Members

Members: Oh Hyuk (vocals, guitar), Im Hyun-jae (guitar), Im Dong-geon (bass) and Lee In-woo (drums).

The four members have stayed together as the band's core lineup since its early days. Oh Hyuk leads the group on vocals and guitar, Im Hyun-jae adds guitar, Im Dong-geon plays bass, and Lee In-woo plays drums. The band is signed to DooRooDooRoo Artist Company.

Career

HYUKOH began with their debut EP 20 in 2014, followed by 22 in 2015. Their breakthrough came after an appearance on the Korean variety show Infinite Challenge, which introduced the band to a much wider audience.

Their first full-length album, 23, arrived in 2017, and the EP 24: How to Find True Love and Happiness followed in 2018. Their second full-length album, through love, was released in 2020. Across those releases, their sound has mixed rock, folk and indie pop, with songs that move easily between quiet reflection and big, singalong choruses.

Among their signature songs are "Wi Ing Wi Ing", "Comes and Goes" and "LOVE YA!". "LOVE YA!", released in 2018 on 24, is the band's first love song, and its music video celebrates a diverse range of couples.

33 — The 2026 Comeback

On November 5, 2026, HYUKOH announced their third full-length album, 33, which is out on November 25, 2026, at 6 p.m. KST. It is their first full-length album in six years, since through love in 2020, and their first numbered title in just as long.

The numbered title continues the band's old run of 20, 22, 23 and 24, a sequence that has followed them since their debut. The cover artwork for 33 was created by artist Ahn Min-jung, who also created the covers for all three pre-release singles. She became the youngest Korean artist to have work included in the Museum of Modern Art (New York) permanent collection.
