What the Documentary Covers
The series traces Perry's rise from a young actor to Chandler Bing, the quick-witted character he played across 236 episodes of Friends from 1994 to 2004. It also examines his long battle with addiction, his recovery work and advocacy, and his 2022 memoir Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing. Arriving around the third anniversary of Perry's death on October 28, 2023 — he was 54, and the death was ruled accidental, from the acute effects of ketamine — the documentary has been called "a moving tribute" in early reviews, with Solzy at the Movies giving it 4 out of 5.
