The Hard Truth is Wynonna Judd's first solo album in 10 years — her most personal record yet, produced by her husband Cactus Moser and written and recorded on their farm in Franklin, Tennessee over five years. The 5-time Grammy winner and Country Music Hall of Fame member, 62, co-wrote most of the songs with Moser. It is also her first album since the death of her mother, Naomi Judd, in 2022 — the first half of the record explores their bittersweet relationship. Wynonna is taking the album on the road with the "Kentucky Queen Tour," a co-headlining run with Melissa Etheridge, an East Coast fall tour that kicks off October 8 at the Bowery Ballroom in New York City, plus Kentucky homecoming shows from September 30 to October 2 in Lexington, Somerset and Ashland.
