TATE MCRAE ANNOUNCES NEW SINGLE 'HOUSEWIFE', OUT OCTOBER 15

Tate McRae is officially entering a brand-new chapter. The Canadian pop sensation announced her new single "Housewife" on October 7, 2026, revealing that it will be released on October 15, 2026. The announcement marks her first new music since the So Close to What era — and the beginning of what fans are already calling the "TM4" era.

The Announcement

Tate revealed "Housewife" on Instagram on October 7 with a short, cryptic caption: "Housewife. Out 10.15," paired with a wedding-ring emoji. The single's cover art is just as striking — it shows the singer in a red bikini and sunglasses, posing beside a stroller (or pram) filled with stacks of cash. Fans can pre-save "Housewife" now ahead of its October 15 release.

A New Era After So Close to What

"Housewife" is Tate's first new release since So Close to What (2025), the album that debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and gave her the first US chart-topper of her career. She has been on an unstoppable run: "What I Want," her collaboration with her "What I Want" collaborator Morgan Wallen, became her first Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 in May 2025, while "Tit for Tat" debuted at No. 3 on the Hot 100 — her third career Top 10 hit. Earlier this year, collaborator Ryan Tedder teased the new music, saying: "She could be the biggest artist in the world."

Victoria's Secret & TATE 01

The timing could not be bigger. Tate is set to perform at the 2026 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show on October 18 — just three days after "Housewife" arrives — making the show the likely stage for the song's debut live performance. It has already been a landmark month across pop music: the milestone as LISA's SaWaDiKa crosses 200 million views on YouTube, new moves from fellow Canadian star The Weeknd, and a packed October release calendar that also features fellow Canadian pop star Justin Bieber. October has also brought a major business milestone for Tate herself — the launch of TATE 01, her very first fragrance.
