RICHA CHADHA SLAMS TROLLS BODY-SHAMING KATRINA KAIF: 'THEY ARE JUST LOSERS'

Richa Chadha has called out the trolls who body-shamed Katrina Kaif after a rare public appearance following her pregnancy, branding them "just losers" who "deserve to be ignored." In an interview with India Today published on October 13, 2026, Chadha said women should not listen to comments about their bodies.

What Richa Chadha Said

Chadha, who became a mother in 2024, said the film industry is respectful of mothers who continue their careers, citing Madhuri Dixit, Juhi Chawla, Rani Mukerji and Sonali Bendre as examples, according to reports of the interview carried by Bollywood Hungama, iDiva, mensxp and Zoom TV.

She blamed anonymous social-media users for the cruelty, saying, "It's the common man... commenting on Katrina Kaif or Aishwarya Rai."

Her sharpest words were reserved for the trolls themselves: they are "just losers" who "deserve to be ignored." She added, "They are beggars in their lives... Like we owe them something. That's not how the world works."

Katrina's Response

Kaif herself addressed the trolling at a London event for the launch of her Kay Beauty brand. According to hauterrfly, she said she does not let social-media narratives affect her self-worth and urged women to be their own cheerleaders.

According to reports, Kaif welcomed her son in November 2025. After a rare post-pregnancy public appearance, social-media users compared her recent pictures with older photos and posted body-shaming comments.

The Bigger Conversation

Chadha's remarks have reignited the wider conversation about motherhood, body image and careers in Bollywood. She stressed that women should not listen to body comments and pointed to senior stars who balanced motherhood with successful careers.

The trolling around Kaif's pregnancy had earlier drawn a strong reaction from Salman Khan, who condemned pregnancy-related trolling on Bigg Boss on September 19 without naming her, according to Zoom TV.

In other Bollywood news this week, the Shah Rukh Khan's King teaser and Janhvi Kapoor biography is reportedly doing the rounds online. For more on the stars in the headlines, read our Kareena Kapoor Khan biography.
