JAMIE MILLER'S "BABYDOLL" EYES A SECOND CONSECUTIVE WEEK AT NO. 1 — OFFICIAL CHART FIRST LOOK

Just one week after winning the tightest UK No. 1 race of the year, Babydoll is tracking to do it all over again. The Official Chart First Look midweek update has Jamie Miller's breakout single back at No. 1, according to the midweek race reported on October 28.

The midweek lead puts the Welsh singer in line for a second consecutive week at the top of the UK Official Singles Chart — but nothing is final yet. The full chart is announced on Friday, October 30, and the midweek race can still shift.

The First Look: Babydoll Holds the Lead

The First Look update is the midweek snapshot of this week's chart race, and right now Babydoll is ahead of the field. As reported by musictimes, the song is tracking to secure a second week at the summit. The current midweek top 10 reads:

1. Babydoll — Jamie Miller
2. Housewife — Tate McRae
3. Expectations — Olivia Rodrigo & Chappell Roan
4. Stop The Wedding — Ashe
5. Great Expectation — Sienna Spiro
6. Choosin' Texas — Ella Langley
7. Nicole Kidman — Adéla (up one)
8. Lies — Zach Bryan feat. Lana Del Rey
9. Rein Me In — Sam Fender & Olivia Dean
10. The Cure — Olivia Rodrigo

With the final result due on October 30, these are midweek positions only — everything can still change before the official announcement.

How Week One Was Won

Babydoll topped the UK Official Singles Chart for the week ending October 29, as announced on October 23 — Jamie Miller's first UK No. 1. The 29-year-old Welsh singer-songwriter, born in Cardiff on 9 September 1997, became the first Welsh male solo artist to top the chart in 41 years (since Shakin' Stevens in 1985), and the first Welsh solo act of any kind since Sian Evans on DJ Fresh's "Louder" in 2011. Catch up on Jamie Miller's 'Babydoll' battles Taylor Swift & Sienna Spiro for UK No. 1 for the full first-week story.

The margin was razor-thin: Babydoll beat Housewife by just 556 chart units, racking up 47,548 units — up 38.27% week on week — powered by the duet version with Antonio Cipriano. The song's viral TikTok dance trend fuelled the surge, and it remains Miller's first UK chart single; he finished third on The Voice UK in 2017. The track was co-written by Miller with Hayley Warner and Michael Blum and released on Republic Records. Full lyrics: Babydoll lyrics (Jamie Miller).
