BRIT-winner JADE (the solo identity of former Little Mix star Jade Thirlwall) has teamed up with Academy Award-winning composer Hans Zimmer on “Into The Deep (Seas Cry)”, the original song created exclusively for BBC’s Blue Planet III.
The collaboration pairs one of British pop’s most distinctive voices with cinema’s most recognisable musical storyteller, marking a rare meeting point between chart music and landmark natural-history television. Written and recorded as a bespoke anthem for the new series, the track soundtracks the show’s global extended trailer and arrives as a standalone release for fans of both artists.
The Song and Its Release
The BBC announced on Oct 6, 2026, that “Into The Deep (Seas Cry)” is the original song for Blue Planet III. The track premiered that same morning on BBC Radio 1’s Breakfast Show with Greg James, before being released later that day by RCA Records across all streaming and download platforms.

Blue Planet III: The Series
Blue Planet III is a 6x60’ series airing on BBC One and iPlayer this autumn, with BBC America and AMC+ following in 2027. Narrated by Sir David Attenborough in his 100th year, the series arrives 25 years after the original Blue Planet and follows around four and a half years in production by the BBC Studios Natural History Unit.

Who Made It: JADE, Zimmer and Bleeding Fingers
The song was created by JADE, the former Little Mix singer now forging a celebrated solo career, together with Hans Zimmer and Thom Lukas of the Emmy and BAFTA-winning Bleeding Fingers Music team — the collective behind some of television’s most memorable scores. Announcing the collaboration, JADE said: “This may well be the most favourite thing I’ve ever done… Blue Planet is my favourite show, and Sir David Attenborough is one of my favourite people on the planet.”
