XLOV are a multinational four-member group made up of Wumuti, Rui, Hyun and Haru. They debuted in January 2025 with the single I'mma Be. The new album was released with a showcase on the same day at Cube Convention Center in western Seoul. Hyun was absent from the 28 October showcase due to an ankle and leg injury sustained in practice and was undergoing intensive treatment.

The album explores moments of choice and the alternative possibilities behind unchosen paths. Leader Wumuti said: This album began with the question of what would have happened if we had made a different choice. Hush is a dark, intense pop track blending heavy bass with traditional East Asian sounds and strings, and its music video combines traditional imagery with horror elements. Tooth Gem Chiwawa is a dreamcore and hyperpop house track about a wolf raised by a family of chihuahuas who believes it too can become a beautiful chihuahua. Leader Wumuti led production across the album and wrote and composed both title tracks, while the members contribute layered backing vocals throughout. Their previous EP, I,God, released in May 2026, sold over 220,000 copies in its first week and ranked No. 6 on Billboard's 25 Best K-Pop Albums of 2026 list. No physical album sales figures or chart position for i=! had been reported.
