Why Cardi B
Cardi B's connection with Canadian audiences runs deep, according to reports: 46 of her songs have charted on the Billboard Canadian Hot 100, with eight reaching the top 10. Her "Little Miss Drama" tour sold out arenas across North America, including Vancouver's Rogers Arena and Toronto's Scotiabank Arena.
She was previously named Billboard's Woman of the Year in 2020, becoming the first rapper to receive the honour. Her sophomore album Am I the Drama? (2026) became the fastest album to go platinum in history, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 — her second straight chart-topper — and has been certified 3x platinum. It is also the longest-running Top 10 album by a female rapper this decade on the Billboard 200, according to reports.
Across her career she has earned 10 Grammy nominations with one win — Best Rap Album for Invasion of Privacy in 2019 — along with 8 Billboard Music Awards, 8 Guinness World Records, 4 Spotify One Billion Streams awards, and a Diamond certification for "Bodak Yellow".
