Ashe is the American singer-songwriter behind “Moral Of The Story” who just scored her first UK Top 10 with “Stop The Wedding!” — the lead single from her fourth album The Girl Of Your Dreams, out 16 October 2026.
Early Life
Born Ashlyn Rae Willson on 24 April 1993 in San Jose, California, Ashe grew up on Christian radio. She began piano and vocal lessons at age eight and spent much of her childhood dancing competitively. After graduating from Berklee College of Music in 2015, she moved to Nashville to pursue songwriting — the first step toward her solo breakthrough.
Career
Ashe first made her mark as a songwriter, co-writing Demi Lovato’s “You Don’t Do It for Me Anymore” in 2017. Her debut EP Moral of the Story: Chapter 1 arrived in 2019, and its title track “Moral Of The Story” became a viral hit through its appearance in Netflix’s To All The Boys: P.S. I Still Love You and on TikTok, followed by a duet version with Niall Horan.
She then released three albums that spell out her full name: Ashlyn (2021), Rae (2022) and Willson (2024). In 2025 she launched The Favors, a project with FINNEAS that produced the album The Dream, and toured alongside Kelsea Ballerini and Gracie Abrams.
