Worst Christmas Ever! is the new holiday album from American indie singer-songwriter Sufjan Stevens, arriving Friday, November 6, 2026, via Asthmatic Kitty Records. The 16-track LP collects 15 essentials from his Christmas box sets alongside 1 brand-new song, and is led by the new single "On This Christmas (It Only Gets Better)", released November 2, 2026 — his first fresh Christmas composition in nearly 15 years.
Across two sprawling box sets — Songs for Christmas (2006, Volumes 1–5) and Silver & Gold (2012, Volumes 6–10) — Stevens recorded more than 100 holiday songs. Worst Christmas Ever! distills that archive into 15 catalog essentials, then pairs them with one new original, making it the definitive single-disc introduction to his Christmas catalog.
