Spirit, the upcoming cop action-drama from Sandeep Reddy Vanga, has locked its theatrical release for October 29, 2027, arriving right on Diwali. The announcement puts an end to months of speculation around the film's release window and sets the stage for one of the biggest festival clashes of 2027.
The film marks the first collaboration between Vanga — the director behind Arjun Reddy, Kabir Singh and Animal — and Prabhas, who plays a hot-headed IPS officer. The new date moves the film out of its earlier March 5, 2027 slot, with the makers unveiling a fresh poster to confirm the Diwali arrival.

Release Date Change
Sandeep Reddy Vanga announced the new release date on X on October 18, 2026, sharing a new poster that reads "29TH OCTOBER DIWALI 2027" alongside the hashtags #OneBadHabit and #IndiasBiggestSuperStar. The move shifts Spirit out of its earlier March 5, 2027 slot and plants it firmly in the Diwali 2027 corridor.
The Diwali date sets up a major box-office clash with Ramayana Part Two, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Yash, which is targeting the same festive window — making it one of the most talked-about face-offs of 2027.
