Released on 26 September 1969 as part of the band's eleventh studio album, the track has grown into the band's most-streamed song in the world, a bright and hopeful classic that still feels fresh more than five decades on.

Harrison wrote the song in the summer of 1969 and recorded it on 7 July 1969 with Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr at Abbey Road Studios in London, while John Lennon was recovering from a car crash in Scotland.
