Why Don't You Stay Lyrics

[Verse 1]
I think about it time and time again
We would drive untill the sun was up
You had that T-shirt with the cherry print
Swear I never meant to fall in love
[Pre-Chorus]
In the night
You were mine
Promised nothing's ever gonna change
I guess we let it fade away
[Chorus]
Why don't you stay
'Cause since you walked away
I'm riding through a ghost town
On the Chevrolet
Why don't you stay
Found love in Santa Fe
You had me riding shotgun
On the Chevrolet
Why don't you stay
[Verse 2]
Back in the summer when we played that song
I had everything I want and more
Don't wanna wait until the winter's gone
Hoping you'll come knocking at my door, yeah
[Pre-Chorus]
In the night
You were mine
Promised nothing's ever gonna change
I guess we let it fade away
[Chorus]
Why don't you stay
'Cause since you walked away
I'm riding through a ghost town
On the Chevrolet
Why don't you stay
Found love in Santa Fe
You had me riding shotgun
On the Chevrolet
Why don't you stay
[Outro]
Why don't you stay
Why don't you stay
