The first set photos
The first set photos from The Mummy 4 surfaced on September 27–28, 2026, via BACKGRID, and
they have sent fans of the franchise into a frenzy. Brendan Fraser was photographed racing a vintage silver-and-red rocket car in a sequence styled as 1957 speed trials, while Rachel Weisz appeared in a vintage outfit complete with a yellow polka-dot skirt, a brown jacket, a wide-brimmed hat and a leather briefcase.
The pictures mark Weisz’s return to the role of Evelyn O’Connell after 25 years — she sat out the 2008 third film, in which Maria Bello stepped in as Evelyn.
The cast returns
The Mummy 4 is a direct sequel to 1999’s The Mummy and 2001’s The Mummy Returns. According to reports, it ignores the events of 2008’s The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor, while the 2017 Tom Cruise reboot remains a separate, discontinued continuity.
The project was first reported in November 2025, and the Fraser–Weisz reunion was confirmed in February 2026. Speaking at the Deauville festival about jumping straight from the red carpet into production, Fraser quipped: “I have to be at work on Monday morning.” On reuniting with Weisz, he added: “It’s like seeing an old friend again.”
