Superman Soundtrack & Music
The film's score is jointly credited to John Murphy and David Fleming. Murphy was confirmed in February 2024, marking his fourth collaboration with Gunn; Fleming joined as co-composer, with the joint credit confirmed in April 2025.
The score incorporates John Williams' iconic main theme from Superman: The Movie (1978), reimagined with electric guitar (session guitarist Yvette Young), alongside new themes written for Lois & Clark, Lex Luthor, the Justice Gang, the Daily Planet, and Krypto.
The official soundtrack album, Superman (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack), was released digitally on July 8, 2025 by WaterTower Music. It features 33 tracks of score plus 3 songs heard at key moments in the film, including "Punkrocker" by Teddybears featuring Iggy Pop (heard over the end credits). It is primarily a score album, not a songs collection. Mondo also issued a 2xLP vinyl edition in red & blue via WaterTower.
