Solar Eclipse Song Credits
Song: Solar Eclipse
Artists: Drake, Don Toliver
Album: HABIBTI (FOMO)
Producer: Noel Cadastre
Music Label: OVO / Republic Records
Release Date: October 2, 2026
The song first surfaced in September 2026, when Drake previewed it during his FOMO livestream as a "Choosin' Texas" remix. Clips of the flip spread quickly, and according to reports, sustained fan demand pushed the track from a one-off stream moment to an official release. The finished version carries a full interpolation credit to Ella Langley and her "Choosin' Texas" co-writers, alongside an incorporation credit for Bun B's Houston classic "Get Throwed".
Sonically, "Solar Eclipse" is a late-night R&B record — hazy, down-tempo production under Drake's verses, with Houston-area native Don Toliver carrying the Texas theme through the chorus. Drake threads Texas name-checks throughout the verses: College Station, River Oaks, Sugar Land, Pearland, The Woodlands, Fort Bend, Katy — plus a nod to Johnny Manziel.
Solar Eclipse Lyrics
Yeah, ayy
She's from Texas, I can tell by the way she grip on my wood grain
She's down to take a hundred shots with me and talk about my pain
It doesn't take a crystal ball to see
A cowgirl ends up riding off on me
Drinkin' Yak all by myself
She's from Texas, I can tell, baby
Big wooden wheel, where should I go?
Johnny Manziel with hits that I throw
College Station nights you used to know
Now you're getting fried down in River Oaks, I already know
Sugarland, Pearlland, Woodlands, you just need a good man, oh
Yeah
Batman, Spider-Man, Superman, they can't save y'all like I want to
Salesman, businessman, postman, they can't write it like the notebook
You can't still name me one man that I should get overlooked for, what?
Yeah
It's a solar eclipse tomorrow and your period hit in the morning
I hand you a joint when I rolled it, this the summer you say you quit smokin'
And you ask me 'bout cashin' a check, and you ask me what's in my account
And I don't even know what that is, 'cause I don't even check
'Cause I don't even check
(Big wooden wheel, that's shit I know)
Four big texts, can't text, bae, I can't make this up (That it's you, babe)
Sippin' Yak all by myself (That it's you, babe)
She's from Texas, I can tell (That it's you, babe, yeah)
Get me to OCTANE, yeah
It's all on your mouth, it's all your mouth
It's all over your mouth right now
But you in here for now
Pre-rolls in my house, it's guns in my couch
Don't touch unless you wanna find out
(Big wooden wheel, that's shit I know)
Four big texts, can't text, bae, I can't make this up (That it's you, babe)
Sippin' Yak all by myself (That it's you, babe)
She's from Texas, I can tell (That it's you, babe, yeah)
