Scream 7 (2026) is the seventh film in the Scream franchise, released on February 27, 2026 in the United States by Paramount Pictures in IMAX, Dolby, 4DX and ScreenX. Like the Michael (2026) movie, the film pairs a legacy franchise with a music-first rollout.
The film is directed by Kevin Williamson — the creator of the Scream franchise — from a screenplay by Williamson and Guy Busick, with a story by James Vanderbilt and Busick. The plot follows a new Ghostface emerging where Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) has built a new life, with her daughter Tatum (Isabel May) as the target. The score is by Marco Beltrami, who returned for this film and recorded with a Budapest orchestra in August 2025, including a piece called "Sidney's Lament."
