About Perfect Colours
Perfect Colours arrived as a complete surprise, dropping with zero prior announcement alongside the rest of the Blankets album.
The song is built on sparse, intimate finger-picked acoustic guitar and delicate vocals, driven by soft piano and an aching lead vocal, according to press materials quoted by NME and Far Out Magazine. Elliott Smith has been cited as the fitting comparison for the track's fragile, confessional tone.
NME also reports that a limited run of 300 vinyl copies of the album was made available via his official website, underlining the deliberately low-key, intimate nature of the release.
