New Trick Lyrics

Lovesick
I'll pick my heart off the floor
New trick, watch this
I'm kickin' the door
Get out, Ka-pow
Bitch, I know the cure
New trick
Watch this, watch this! Ah!
Maybe I'm emotional
I lay my dreams out on the table
Love is unconditional
Then disappears just like a rainbow
When tears run dry
(Oh I, oh I, oh I, oh I)
I tell my mind…
Get set, ready, ah!
Lovesick
I'll pick my heart off the floor
New trick, watch this
I'm kickin' the door
Get out, Ka-pow
Bitch, I know the cure
New trick
Watch this, watch this! Ah!
New trick
Watch this watch this!
New trick
Watch this watch this!
I can turn a staying in
Into a 6am night out
I can turn a reminisce
Into "I don't remember now"
When tears run dry
(Oh I, oh I, oh I, oh I)
I tell my mind…
Turn it up, put your heart in drive!
Lovesick
I'll pick my heart off the floor
New trick, watch this
I'm kickin' the door
Get out, Ka-pow
Bitch, I know the cure
New trick
Watch this, watch this! Ah!
Lovesick
I'll pick my heart off the floor
New trick, watch this
I'm kickin' the door
Get out, Ka-pow
Bitch, I know the cure
New trick
Watch this, watch this! Ah!
New trick
Watch this watch this!
New trick
Watch this watch this!
You can't stop a girl who's been broken
Door closes, and she'll kick another one open
Kinda like magic
I got a
New trick
Watch this, watch this! Ah!
New trick
Watch this watch this!
New trick
Watch this watch this!

New Trick FAQs

When was New Trick released?
The single arrived on 17 September 2026 in the US (18 September in Korea) via The Black Label and Atlantic Records — ROSÉ's first solo release of 2026.

Who wrote and produced it?
ROSÉ co-wrote the song with Amy Allen and Andrew Wells. Wells also produced it, with Serban Ghenea on mixing and Chris Gehringer on mastering.

What's special about the music video?
Directed by Dave Meyers, the video was shot entirely on an iPhone 18 Pro for Apple's "Shot on iPhone" campaign. It drew 11.6 million YouTube views in its first 24 hours and about 25 million within two days.

What is the song about?
It is a post-heartbreak empowerment anthem about turning pain into power – Rosé trades tears for late nights out and kicks every closed door open. That fierce independence also defines her BLACKPINK bandmate JENNIE: JENNIE’s solo work, including her Tame Impala collaboration, explores similar ground.
