Mumbai Sapno Ka Samandar is a high-energy rap number from the film Prahaar. Released on 12 October 2026 via T-Series by Emiway Bantai and Sunidhi Chauhan , the track arrived just days before the film's 16 October 2026 theatrical release.
The talking point is the pairing itself: playback veteran Sunidhi Chauhan steps into rap for the first time, trading verses with Mumbai's own hip-hop star, while the track pays tribute to the city's unstoppable dreamers. A Rap Tribute to Mumbai's Fighting Spirit
The surprise is Sunidhi Chauhan herself: one of Hindi cinema's most seasoned playback voices delivering a full rap verse for the first time. Her segment was written and composed by Swaalina, opening a brand-new lane for the veteran singer, while Emiway Bantai answers with his trademark Mumbai hip-hop cadence on the other side of the exchange.
On the production side, Emiway takes charge of the music direction himself, with Memax on the music and Shadab Rayeen giving the track its final polish at New Edge Studios in Mumbai. The result is a peppy, high-voltage beat built to carry rapid-fire verses. The song was first covered in the release-news post for this song, and fans of his recent output can also check Choozay lyrics — Emiway Bantai (Udta Teer).
The video matches the energy with street-level Mumbai visuals — local trains, crowded lanes and skyline shots — cut against footage from Prahaar to anchor the song in the film's world. Prahaar: The Untold Story of Ujjwal Nikam, the Maddock Films production starring Rajkummar Rao (Rajkummar Rao biography) and Wamiqa Gabbi and directed by Avinash Arun, arrives in cinemas on 16 October 2026 with Dinesh Vijan producing. For the full album rundown, see Prahaar (2026) soundtrack — songs, music & movie facts, and note that Shreya Ghoshal and Sonu Nigam reunite for Prahaar song 'Tujh Mein Basi Meri Jaan'.
Emiway has described the number as a special one — a blend of different energies that stays true to rap at its core — and called teaming up with Sunidhi an exciting prospect. With its peppy, energetic sound, the track works as a lively entry point into Prahaar's world, and as a tribute to Mumbai's dreamers who keep pushing forward.
