Early Life

Harry Styles was born in Redditch, Worcestershire, and raised in Holmes Chapel, Cheshire. He is the son of Anne Twist and Desmond "Des" Styles, who divorced when he was seven years old. He has an older sister, Gemma Styles. As a teenager he fronted a school band called White Eskimo, which won a local Battle of the Bands competition.

Career: One Direction, Solo, Acting

In 2010, Styles auditioned as a solo singer for The X Factor UK. He did not progress as a soloist, but the judges grouped him with fellow contestants Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson to form One Direction. The group finished in third place on the show and went on to release five studio albums between 2011 and 2015, before beginning an indefinite hiatus in 2016.

As a solo artist signed to Columbia Records through his own imprint Erskine, Styles released his self-titled debut album Harry Styles in 2017, led by the UK number-one single "Sign of the Times". Its follow-up, Fine Line (2019), produced "Watermelon Sugar", his first US Billboard Hot 100 number one. Harry's House (2022) became his biggest record yet: its lead single "As It Was" spent 15 weeks at number one on the Hot 100, and the album won the Grammy Award for Album of the Year in 2023.

On March 6, 2026, Styles released his fourth solo album, Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally — a 12-track record made with longtime collaborator Kid Harpoon. Its lead singles "Aperture" and "American Girls" both reached number one globally, according to Wikipedia. Harry Styles' 'As It Was' video crosses 1 billion views

His awards tally includes 3 Grammy Awards (including Album of the Year 2023), 6 Brit Awards (with Album of the Year for both Fine Line and Harry's House) and 2 Ivor Novello Awards. As an actor, Styles has appeared in Dunkirk (2017), Eternals (2021) as Starfox, Don't Worry Darling (2022) and My Policeman (2022). In December 2020 he became the first man to appear solo on the cover of Vogue.

2026: Album, Tour & MSG Residency

Styles launched his "Together, Together" tour in May 2026 — 67 shows across seven cities: Amsterdam, London, São Paulo, Mexico City, New York, Melbourne and Sydney, per azcentral. The centerpiece of the run is a 30-night residency at New York's Madison Square Garden, running August 26 to October 31, 2026. With 52 total MSG headline shows to his name, he holds the venue's all-time headlining record — and these are his only US dates of 2026.

The year has also brought milestones away from the stage: 12 sold-out shows at Wembley Stadium, earning a Guinness World Records title for the longest residency by a musician at Wembley in a single run; an album-launch concert at Manchester's Co-op Live, filmed as the Netflix special One Night in Manchester; and an opening performance of "Aperture" at the 2026 Brit Awards. More than 11 million fans joined the virtual queue for MSG residency tickets.

On September 10, Styles announced 25 additional tour dates for 2027, running from Phoenix on April 2, 2027 through London's Wembley Stadium on August 25–28, 2027.
