Early Life

Gal Gadot was born on April 30, 1985, in Petah Tikva, Israel, and was raised in the nearby city of Rosh HaAyin. Standing 5 ft 10 in (178 cm), she was crowned Miss Israel in 2004 at the age of 18. She then completed two years of mandatory service in the Israel Defense Forces, where she served as a combat trainer. She later studied law and international relations, per reports.

Career

Gadot began acting on Israeli television with the drama series Bubot in 2008. She made her film debut as Gisele Yashar in Fast & Furious (2009), a role she reprised across the franchise's sequels from 2011 through 2023. Her first appearance as Wonder Woman came in Batman v Superman (2016), followed by the solo film Wonder Woman (2017) — a major box-office hit, remarkable for the fact that she was five months pregnant during its reshoots. She returned as the hero in Justice League (2017) and Wonder Woman 1984 (2020), which she also co-produced. Her later films include Red Notice (2021), Death on the Nile (2022) and Heart of Stone (2023), which she co-produced. In 2025 she played the Evil Queen in Disney's Snow White, followed by In the Hand of Dante (2025), with The Runner lined up for 2026. Gadot co-founded the production company Pilot Wave with her husband. She was named to the Time 100 list of the world's most influential people in 2018, has been ranked by Forbes among the highest-paid actresses, and in 2025 became the first Israeli actor to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. She also won the MTV Movie & TV Award for Best Fight in 2018. In her personal life, Gadot has been married to Israeli real-estate developer Yaron Varsano since 2008, and the couple has four daughters.
