DAYLIGHT LYRICS - JOHN LEGEND | MUSE

"Daylight" by John Legend — the Pharrell Williams-produced lead single from the upcoming album Muse (out October 23, 2026 via Republic Records). The track pairs Legend’s warm, gospel-rooted vocal with a smooth, sunlit groove that feels tailor-made for its title, built around the simple promise of being there when the sun comes up.

Legend debuted “Daylight” live on September 8, 2026 on CBS’s America’s Tailgate in Nashville, as part of the NFL season kickoff celebrations. Muse is John Legend’s 11th studio album — 16 tracks produced in full and co-written by Pharrell Williams, the pair’s first complete project together after more than 20 years of friendship. Daylight Lyrics

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Ahhhhhh
With open heart and open mind
We come together at this time
And it’s no accident that I ran into you
Exactly where I’m meant to be and you are too

Your love is special requested
Sent a prayer or two
Emotionally invested
Is what I am with you
And it feels like
Daylight
Yeah, it feels like
The sun will rise

I’ll be here in the morning
Still be here in the morning
I’ll be here in the morning
Still be here in the morning

The poetry is here somewhere between the lines
The rhythm’s kept by a heartbeat, both yours and mine
You take everything I knew and make it feel brand new
And I wanna take my time and make you feel that too

Your love is special requested
Sent a prayer or two
Emotionally invested
Is what I am with you
And it feels like
Daylight
Yeah, it feels like
The sun will rise

I’ll be here in the morning
Still be here in the morning
I’ll be here in the morning
Still be here in the morning

Ah (Ah, yeah, ah, yeah, ah, yeah, ah, yeah, ah, yeah)
I want you (I want you)
Early in the morning (Early in the morning)
Are you awake? (Are you awake?)
You’re my morning star
I want you (Help me sing it)
Early in the morning (Early in the morning)
Are you awake? (Are you awake?)
’Cause you’re my morning star

I’ll be here in the morning (Help me sing it)
Still be here in the morning
I’ll be here in the morning (Help me sing it)
Still be here in the morning
I’ll be here in the morning (Help me sing it)
Still be here in the morning
I’ll be here in the morning (Help me sing it)
Still be here in the morning

Oh, I want you
Early in the morning
Are you awake?
You’re my morning star!
