From "Chantaje" — eleven non-consecutive weeks atop the Billboard Hot Latin Songs chart and a No. 51 Hot 100 peak — through "Trap" and "Clandestino" to "Agua", Maluma and Shakira have turned every reunion into an event. Eight years after their last duet, the two Colombians sound hungrier than ever; read more in this Shakira biography.

The Hannah Lux Davis-directed visual is all water and reflections: the two stars trade verses across glistening pools and mirrored sets while the press release's metaphor plays out — no matter how much water they need, together everything ends up on fire. Musically, "Agua" is a slow-burn tropical-merengue groove that sits comfortably alongside Shakira's current smash Dai Dai.

Agua Lyrics

[Verso 1]
Hoy vas a caer, a caer, a caer
[Pre-Coro]
Nuestra química no sabe mentir
[Post-Coro]
Agua pa'l fuego, agua, bebé
Agua, agua yo quiero, agua, que tengo sed
Agua pa'l fuego, agua, bebé
Agua, agua yo quiero, agua, que tengo sed
[Interludio]
Maluma, baby, mami
[Verso 2]
Baby, desde que yo te vi
Positivo para ti, una belleza exótica
No pareces de por aquí
Quiero saberlo todo, flow FBI
Tranquila, prometo no ser un huelebi
[Pre-Coro]
Nuestra química no sabe mentir
[Post-Coro]
Agua pa'l fuego, agua, bebé
Agua, agua yo quiero, agua, que tengo sed
Agua pa'l fuego, agua, bebé
Agua, agua yo quiero, agua, que tengo sed
[Outro]
'Tá seca
