Vishal Mishra was born on 8 December in Unnao, Uttar Pradesh, and educated in Lucknow. He first appeared on the reality show Bharat Ki Shaan and was mentored in his early days by Lalit Pandit of the Jatin–Lalit composer duo.

Mishra made his composing debut with the Tamil film Devi (2016) and composed “Jaane De” for Qarib Qarib Singlle (2017).
